Well once again a good entry from members in both digital and print sections, the standard was good particularly the prints, our standards certainly seem to be on the up! well done all.

The results listed below shows Image Name, Author and Score listed in descending order of score.

Just a reminder that week after next we have the Second Round of our Bi-monthly Competitions, two categories Prints and Digital Images you can enter up to five in either or both categories, there is no set subject so you have a wide open platform. Don't forget, however, when we come to the Third Round in April the subject will be 'Water' so between now and then make sure you have captured some stunning images to interoperate this subject.

MOST IMPORTANT point to remember is that I need your Print Titles and all your Digital Images in by Tuesday next 16th. You can email titles and digital files or post them with Digital images on CD whichever you prefer but please make sure I have them by next Tuesday.

Also next Tuesday 16th January. don't forget to bring your cameras for our Studio Night, we have a very attractive young lady lined up for you!!!!

Our second December meeting Tuesday 12th. Will be devoted to Photoshop when we shall once again have our good friend Malcolm Sales to help us towards better techniques and a greater understanding of photo manipulation using Photoshop.

If you have any particular Photoshop questions or problems you would like him to cover let us know a.s.a.p. so Malcolm can prepare in advance.

December and Christmas looms, the final meeting this year will be our annual pre-Christmas invitation event when we challenge other clubs, this year a Print Knockout Competition on Tuesday 19th. December. Our judge for this event will be Peter Yeo FRPS DPAGB APAGB.

This is a good social evening with our guests from participating clubs and we shall have a few nibbles, mince pies etc., to help engender the Christmas spirit!!!

This year several of our club members submitted, prints, slides and digital images for the NEMPF 2007 Exhibition and we are pleased to announce that we had one black & white and two colour prints accepted plus two slides.

There were also a few near misses, for most categories acceptance mark was 11+ with several of our submitted images scoring 10 or 11 so overall we scored quite well which hopefully will inspire us to try harder for the future, we clearly have among us the ability to meet the required standards so lets go for it!

On Tuesday 5th. December we have a treat in store when Paul Hobson a renowned Wildlife Photographer will be giving us an insight into his excellent work and photographic images.
